BIRTH AND DEATH CERTIFICATE INFORMATION

Birth & Death Certificates

Only a qualified applicant may obtain a copy of a birth or death certificate.

Qualified Applicant

  • The parent, child, brother, sister, spouse, grandparent, step-parent, step-sibling, legal guardian, or managing conservator.
  • Must provide the following information and show proper identification. (a copy of the applicant's valid driver's license or other valid picture identification)

Any Texas birth certificate may be immediately purchased in Coleman County. This office uses a system to remotely access the state's records which, at this time, date from 1926 to the present. 

Fees for Birth and Death Certificates

Birth Certificates - $23.00

Death Certificates - $21.00 1st Copy

      $4.00 for each additional copy purchased at the same time

Notarized Affidavit and Copy of Valid Identification is required to be submitted along with application and fees for mail in applications.
